He has represented hundreds of injured workers before the Texas Department of Insurance, Workers' Compensation Division. He obtained his law degree from South Texas College of Law in December, 1989, graduating in the top 20% of his class; he received his undergraduate degree from the University of Houston, Clear Lake, in August, 1986, graduating Summa cum laude.
